What's in a name?

I chose my company's name, "Self of Steam," because I believe in the concept of self-esteem, but I think that in many ways the self-esteem movement in schools has gone awry.  When a student referred to "self of steam" in an essay, I loved it!  The energy and enthusiasm that this name implies suits me.

To help clarify the name of my company, I've included the following with my logo:  "Fostering true self-esteem through teaching, learning and action." 

We are responsible for our own "selves of steam," and I hope to encourage you on your self-esteem journey.
